Bedankt voor uw interesse in ons kindcentrum. We nodigen u graag uit om kennis te maken en ons prachtige kindcentrum aan u te laten zien. We doen dit doorgaans op vrijdag. We nemen graag de tijd om u van informatie te voorzien en een antwoord te geven op al uw vragen.

Binnen de basisscholen in Leidschenveen hebben wij gezamenlijke afspraken gemaakt, het zogenoemde Gentlemans Agreement. Deze afspraken helpen ons om zorgvuldig om te gaan met verzoeken tot schoolwisseling binnen de wijk.

Het doel is om te voorkomen dat kinderen onnodig van school wisselen en om ervoor te zorgen dat iedere overstap écht in het belang van het kind is.

Wat betekent dit voor u?

Wanneer u overweegt om uw kind over te plaatsen naar een andere basisschool binnen Leidschenveen, volgen wij samen met de andere scholen onderstaande stappen:

1. Kennismaking is altijd mogelijk
U bent altijd welkom om kennis te maken met een andere school. Daarbij informeren wij u ook over het bestaan van het Gentlemans Agreement.

2. Eerst in gesprek met de huidige school
Wanneer u serieus overweegt om te wisselen van school, vragen wij u om eerst in gesprek te gaan met de huidige school. Vaak kunnen zorgen of vragen daar al worden besproken of opgelost.

3. Vervolgcontact met de nieuwe school
Heeft het gesprek met de huidige school niet geleid tot een oplossing? Dan kunt u opnieuw contact opnemen met de nieuwe school.

4. Overleg tussen scholen
Voordat een mogelijke overstap verder wordt onderzocht, nemen de scholen onderling contact met elkaar op. Dit gebeurt altijd op directieniveau.

5. Onderzoek en afweging
Alleen als beide scholen samen vaststellen dat een overstap mogelijk in het belang van het kind is, start de nieuwe school een onderzoek (bijvoorbeeld door een kennismaking met het kind).

6.  Eindadvies
Na dit onderzoek stemmen de scholen opnieuw met elkaar af. Vervolgens ontvangt u een zorgvuldig en gezamenlijk onderbouwd advies.

Het belang van het kind staat centraal

Bij iedere stap staat één vraag centraal: wat is het beste voor dit kind? Door samen te werken als scholen zorgen we voor rust, duidelijkheid en een weloverwogen beslissing.

The primary schools in Leidschenveen have made joint agreements, the so-called Gentlemen’s Agreement. These agreements help us handle requests for school transfers within the district carefully and thoughtfully.

The aim is to prevent children from changing schools unnecessarily and to ensure that any transfer is genuinely in the best interest of the child.

What does this mean for you?

If you are considering transferring your child to another primary school within Leidschenveen, we and the other schools follow the steps below together:

1. Introduction meetings are always possibleYou are always welcome to get acquainted with another school. During this meeting, we will also inform you about the existence of the Gentlemen’s Agreement.
2. First discuss matters with the current schoolIf you are seriously considering changing schools, we ask that you first speak with your child’s current school. Often, concerns or questions can already be discussed or resolved there.
3. Follow-up contact with the new schoolIf the conversation with the current school does not lead to a solution, you may contact the new school again.
4. Consultation between schoolsBefore a possible transfer is further considered, the schools will contact each other directly. This always takes place at management level.
5. Review and considerationOnly if both schools jointly determine that a transfer may be in the child’s best interest will the new school begin a review process (for example, through an introductory meeting with the child).
6. Final recommendationAfter this review, the schools will consult with each other again. You will then receive a carefully considered and jointly supported recommendation.

The child’s best interest comes first.

At every step, one question remains central: what is best for this child? By working together as schools, we ensure stability, clarity, and a well-considered decision.
